| Weekly races are held every Saturday at 2:30 PM. A committee boat will appear on the lake at the starting line once the course is set 9usually one hour prior to race time). On the rear of the committee boat will be the course designation (from one point to another using letters corresponding to locations on the lake). The locations of these points will be noted on a lake map provided to members. Ask another sailor or follow the group if you are uncertain of the course. | ||||||
| All mono-hull sailboats are encouraged to join in the annual ‘Round Lake George Race. This race is a test of strategy as well as speed. There are three marks to be rounded, placed in various locations around the lake. The start and finish line will be in front of the Hall family house regardless of wind direction. Skippers may sail the outer perimeter of the course in either direction—clockwise or counter-clockwise. The first four finishers will be awarded prizes. The regular starting sequence of signals will begin at 9:30 AM.on July 13. | ||||||
| The Annual Regatta will take place on Saturday and Sunday, July 26 and 27th. Inland Cats from other lakes in the Midwest are invited to participate. A silent auction will play a central role in the weekend as the club raises money for a charity in either Steuben or Branch County. If you own an Inland Cat and haven’t received an invitation and registration form, please contact John Hendrickson. | ||||||
